Thinking big. Starting small. Acting fast.
I’m RM Nisperos — business strategy consultant, UP Open University professor, and serial entrepreneur. I set strategy for a ₱25-billion financial institution, have taught 1,000+ student-entrepreneurs at UP, and advised USAID-funded programs — and been written up by the institutions I serve (receipts below). Here’s the long version.

Classroom rigor, street-level experience.
By day, I’m Chief Compliance Officer at a ₱25-billion member-owned savings-and-loan association in Manila — after more than fifteen years there building its corporate strategy, business intelligence, and analytics-led marketing across a nationwide branch network. By night (and most weekends), I teach entrepreneurship, e-commerce, and public management at the University of the Philippines Open University, and run a consulting practice for founders and institutions.
I hold an MBA from UP Diliman’s Virata School of Business, e-commerce and entrepreneurship training from UP Open University, and a BS in E-Commerce from the Asian Institute of E-Commerce — plus a stack of certifications in data analytics, Six Sigma, and digital marketing. But the credential I’m proudest of is simple: my very first clients are still my clients today.
The lieutenant you wish you had.
I believe every team already has an enormous capacity to do something great. What’s usually missing is someone beside you — watching your back, turning intent into systems, and getting the hard things actually done.
That’s the role I play best. A results-driven pursuit of wisdom, a knack for building systems, and a habit of advocating for innovation — paired with leadership that’s perceptive and detailed, but considerate. I’m at my best as the strategist who makes the general look good.
I live by a line I learned early: “Service to humanity is the best work of life.” So I teach at a distance-learning university to reach Filipinos who can’t easily access education, write openly about strategy on this site, and mentor founders whenever I can.
The way I see it, we should always pay it forward — lift the people around us and help the next generation match or surpass us. That’s the point of all of it.
Where I’ve built and taught.

Plenty of swings missed before the hits. I treat every failure as tuition — proof I practice what I preach: think big, start small, act fast. Failure isn’t the opposite of success; it’s a step toward it.
